Coeur d’Alene Dog Licensing Falls Short
In a recent article appearing in the CDA Press entitled License to Roam it was mentioned that roughly 35,000 Coeur d’Alene residents are dog owners. Yet, in 2008, only 743 Dogs were licensed within the city.
In light of this, we encourage everyone to obtain a license for their pooches, after all, it’s the law. Moreover, the fees paid go to support Animal Control and pet rescue. Moreover, in order to obtain a license, your dog must have current innoculations against rabies which is decidedly in the public interest.

I read the comment from a reader named “molly” and I am upset with her comment about is there going to be a place for the small dogs to play? Well, I was under the impression that the dog park was for ALL dogs regardless of size, breed, as long as the pet owner is responsible for the dog. I myself have a rottweiler and she has made many friends at the stateline dog park meaning small to large dogs. Maybe if this lady is worried she should keep her pooch home in the yard. Don’t spoil our fun Molly!!!
